That makes no sense at all if we are to believe the bible. It very much does not paint Satan as being vain when he went after the thrown of God. It really seems like he felt he could do a better job of it all and felt He had earned it. That is ambition, and all ambition has a bit of vanity connected to it, but if God had made him perfect, then it would seem he should have been able to do the job just fine, and that makes it less about vanity. The only way it could be vanity is if he thought he was perfect and was not, btu then that would mean the Bible was lying to us.

It would only make sense.

And I still have yet to see any proof that Satan was the wrong person for the job. If he was as perfectly made as the Bible claims, then it would stand that he would have been perfect to take over God's job.

if Lucifer had won, then god would have been the bad guy don't you think?
