If you don't like it, then don't do it. Don't ask the questions to get to know the guy, just go out and enjoy yourself. Information will be volunteered and you can choose to ignore it or store it away

I'm with you..
Learning new people begins to be montonous at times doesn't it...Learning to trust a new person really gets to me. So when are we going out? :)

Is there a way you can go and have a good time without the "interview?" What are the plans for the date? Movie? Miniature golf?

I guess I never did that...

I never played the questions and answers game.  Instead, I just planned fun dates and went with it.  If I learned this information about the person, that was great, if not, there was other stuff to talk about that didn't require so much.... dating bullshit.  That's how I approached dating my husband, and well, obviously it worked.  :)  And, I learned all that information about him, but it didn't feel so much like a job because it all just came naturally.

Thanks! I guess I'm just scared/nervous/tired.

I've been places with him before but always with children around...or other people...never alone.

I'm dreading it...I really am.

And he is a friend, so I'm not sure why I am so worried.

I understand. I hate dating too. I despise it. When I first went out with my new guy, I absolutely dreaded it and hoped that he would cancel. You feel like you have  the same conversations with ever guy you go out with. Then there's all the awkward moments.  I vented about here on blogit. there are many here who by all rights could come back to me now and say "I told you so." Luckily no one has. I'm so glad I went through with it. This one guy is worth every bad date I have ever had.   If you do go, just think of it as a fun night with a friend. That helped me a lot.
