I found your mention of how the two editions on 9-11 were totally different from each other very intriguing. I know it's morbid, but I would love to have the two editions as you do.

I like the buzz
of being in a team but hate the sting that often comes with other players.

Still in the throes of the decision-making, it seems. Could be a while. I haven't actually ever had the urge to be in at the cutting edge of news-delivery, so it's the lone writer for me when faced with that choice. My equivalent of the hands-on part of life is how much to cut down the teaching. Since I'm attempting to write for the 9-12 age bracket, it might be a foolish thing to cut my contact with them out of my life if I had that chance. The buzz I got from spending a day teaching 10-year-olds today is like the buzz I got when my play was performed many years ago. That's where I'd be torn - to write for my audience or be with my audience. |

The energy in a newsroom must be fantastic at times. I guess I will never know first hand. But I do know of other areas where the same thing happens and people just "wing it". It is a good feeling.

I've worked from home for years ... well decades, really. Altho' I'm happily married, and got lots of good friends, I guess I'm a bit of a loner really.
It's nice to see visitors come, and nice to see 'em go.
