Ariala - that was a stigma that the Northern Algonquins never seemed to be
able to escape. Eat a few missionaries and every time there was a food shortage people start looking at you sideways.

JanesOpinion - I had a 4 dog team in 1967 so it must have been February 68
and yeah, a hind quarter was stretched into 2 meals for 4 dogs, myself, as well as my mother and brother.

Holy cow! How long ago did THIS happen??  And how many meals did you get from your single hind quarter?  Not much, what with four dogs to feed, eh?
