- Go to Bush Speech Proof of Weakness, Lying?
WriterofLight,
If only you could shine some light on the crimes of George Bush?? We are definitely passing in the dark! I am talking apples, you are talking strudel! What is wrong with you? Now it is 40 years?? 25,000,000 Iraqis?? Who gave you those numbers?
I can be honest and tell you my motive for writing the "real" facts! I want someone of courage to bring an indictment against this whole regime in Washington! What is your motive? 25,000,000 people that did not ask for America's help deserve a better fate than being the pawn in a "steal their wealth scheme"! So lose the condescending rhetoric and platitude!

Thanks, Jane, Corbin and Glenn!
Jane, that same desperation was evident in their spinning last Tuesday's election results as a huge defeat for Bush and the Republicans. never mind that the elections mostly preserved the status quo without any real Democrat gains in elected offices while laying what I called elsewhere an electoral whop-ass on the attempts by out-of-state liberal special interests to "reform" the Ohio electoral process as punishment for us voting for Bush.
Corbin, I am just amazed at how precisely Two Sides, the Old Sot, Barbara Boxershorts and the rest of them fulfilled exactly what the President said they did: Rewrite history and tell lies.
Glenn, tell me what how these results are not positive:
- Saddam and his Baathist regime have been overthrown.
- 25,000,000 Iraqis are free for the first time in 40 years.
- Iraq has ratified its constitution.
- Iraq has changed from a safe haven and bankroller of terrorism to a meat grinder for terrorists. Some 40,000 to 50,000 terrorists, insurgents, whatever you want to call them, have been rubbed out.
The only people for whom they're not positive is Saddam, the Baathists and the terrorists.
I don't think for a second that President Bush was hurt or offended by crticism; if he was, he'd not be taking responsibility for that for which is being criticized, nor would he be defending the right of his critics to offer it. I think rather he's fed up with the lies and falsehoods being offered as criticism, just as you'd be if it were done to you. I also think he's about two years late in standing up to it.

WriterofLight,
This Iraq "war" will never have a positive outcome! Too many innocent lives have been lost! The speech was in the wrong place, at the wrong time! If Bush feels so hurt or offended by criticism give him a "crying towel" for another day!
