Thanks, Corbin and Mystic!
Mystic, I fail to see your connection between national security against terrorism and the Katrina problems (which, by the way, were primarily at the state and local levels). And I'll extend to you the same challenge I pose for liberal congressmen, in a slightly dif:ferent form: I challenge you to present your claim that
  1. al Qaeda has been dismantled in Afghanistan, the country that was most brazen in aiding and abetting it.
  2. Almost 20,000,000 Afghanis are free and living in peace for the first time in decades.
  3. Saddam and his Baathist regime have been overthrown.
  4. 25,000,000 Iraqis are free for the first time in 40 years.
  5. Iraq has ratified its constitution.
  6. Iraq has changed from a safe haven and bankroller of terrorism to a meat grinder for terrorists. Some 40,000 to 50,000 terrorists, insurgents, whatever you want to call them, have been rubbed out.

has not been worth the loss of one American soldier's life to the Americans who are winning these victories. I hope I'm wrong about this, but you give the impression that you believe Americans are dragged off in the night, kicking and screaming, to become cannon fodder. Know this, my friend: These young men and women vounteered for this duty, and they are proud to be carrying out this work.

Reason 7 is a lie, as Katrina exposed ...
as for the rest, none of them are worth one single America soldier's life.

Is it any wonder, with the negative reporting we receive in the mainstream media?  Imagine what might have happened in WWII  if we had this batch of media coverage applied to events then????

It make be backfiring....the latest Pew Poll is showing a  increased view that the press is being unfair.....

The LIBDems in the Senate are  tossing  any semblance of responsibility aside when speaking on the President and the War........
