MayB, enjoy the road up.  It is half the fun.

Excellent post!

I am a firm believer in making your own luck, reality, etc.  No one knows what I want, better than I do...

Create your own is the only way, I've come to recognise. Nobody comes to you with your ideal job and when you scour the newspapers looking for that ad, it never materializes. Make it, forge it, polish it, cherish it. I'm not there yet either, but I'm sure this is the way.

MayB...
It is good to enjoy getting where we are going.

Just enjoy each moment
and when you reach that final interview there will a lifetime of good moments joined together, and you'll realise that you've fulfilled everything you really wanted to, and probably much more.

Enjoying what you do is a goal many of us can relate to...

I interviewed a retired fire chief once, that lasted about that length of time. I was very tired mentally afterward.

that's a really long interview, I imagine it takes a good while to decompress from that.

Mayb...you've got alot of work ahead of you. I find it interesting about
how you're taking things in...absorbing it.  I often find that "sleeping on things" works best for me.  I detach a bit, put it aside, then when I least expect it everything just falls into place.  Good luck with this!  Do enjoy yourself!
