Comments on John Lennon's Imagine

Go to WHY ARE THE SONGS OF OUR TIME SO SANG-FROID?Add a commentGo to John Lennon's Imagine

Lennon was a mass of contradictions just like all of us

Have you heard Bono's song wriiten for Lennon "God part 2" on the Rattle and Hum album. It's great....

"Don't believe in excess

success is to give

don't believe in riches

but you should see where I live.....

I believe in love.

Don't believe in forced entry

don't believe in rape

but every time she passes by

wild thoughts escape.....

I believe in love."

Talion and Ebb, you're both right...sorry! LOL I was still laughing about
Christians singing the song, thinking it was about Jesus.

Ariel70 Thanks for stopping by. Talion you are right! Harrison wrote it.
Ariala, nice to see you are a Beatles fan, too.

Ebb.and.Flow

Lennon was neither. He saw the world for what it was, but simply hoped for something better.

Ariala: I may be wrong, but I think that song was done by George Harrison.

He was a follower of Hare Krishna...I find it amusing that

Christians love the song My Sweet Lord (and have played it in church) but in the background at the end it says, Hare Krishna over and over.  LOL

Mm, my Lord Hare Krishna
My my my Lord Hare Krishna
Oh, my sweet Lord Krishna Krishna
Ooh, ooh Hare Hare

Now, I really wanna see you Hare Rama
Really wanna be with you Hare Rama
Really wanna see you, Lord Ahh
But it takes so long, my Lord Hallelujah
