Brisbane Artist
I think it is more difficult for artists to delegate. You are the owner, creator of the whole project therefore to delegate is to share the unsharable part. But delegation is very necessary for any mass production of anything.
You could delegate in someone doing prints or mailings or many things that do not pertain to the heart and soul of your creation. I was both a designer and a developer. I hate to do anything twice. If I was to be successful my work had to be duplicated therefore I have no problem with others duplicating what I originate. I find there are all sorts of people who love all sorts of work. There are those who love to clean up and organize after me. I love them with a fierceness, because I have another idea going in my mind while I am finishing the one I am on and they can clear the clutter. They enjoy that because they are not called on to perform anything new! Sorry so long I got carried awa

Delegation to me...
Is not an option. You see, there are only two of us at work, the owner (my boss) and me, so I get delegated to! Due to the nature of our work, there are times when I ask him to do something because I am unable to at the moment and something needs immediate attention. Delegation means the person you delegate to should do the same job you would, and that is always scary.

B...What's your environment?
"Nobody wants to do work, even for themselves in my environment."
I am a teacher and so I 'sepcialise' in motivation.
hehehe
Motivate them or bust that's what I say.
I spent time delegating to the kids today - what a disastor I will post about it later,
Jo

No. Others delegate to me or at least, try to. Nobody wants to do work, even for themselves in my environment.
