I have a possession I have carried with me to numerous abodes over the last twenty something years. Its a sculpture I use as a doorstop. I have named her "Sheherazade" and everyone except me thinks she is the ugliest thing they have ever seen.

Sometimes a tomato is just a tomato, but now that you wrote about the Matrix-view thingy, I can't see it as a tomato anymore but a huge, red butt blowing fire. Oh, the howwor, the howwor. I do like it, it's very Warholesque.

I've got this bedraggled,
moth eaten, scrofulous old purple peacock I bought as a Christmas tree ornament for my mom 30 years ago. When I was 11, I thought it was the coolest thing I ever saw. I still put it on the tree, and I think it would, in a bar fight, kick the NBC television peacock's ass.
I'll never get rid of it, no matter how much therapy I undergo.

Well, while I doubt I would have chosen it
it does not offend my senses as much as the others. I could live with it in plain sight as long as I did not have to decorate so it would fit in with the decor....

Oh, and Mystic, it's only in the closet cause of the recent remodeling
