Oh, I did wonder if that was where the idea for the
name came from...like I said, the name itself actually appeals to me...it's unfortunate it brings to mind the character from the show. (who was also quite hilarious as a _character_...)

Factor
It's my brother in law's fault, the show was popular at the time Dharma was born.  Everytime a see the reruns I want to smack him upside his goofy head for doing such a thing.

I'm still stuck on ...
you have a niece named Dharma? I had only heard of that on the TV show. I actually like the name even though it's synonymous with "flake" for me now I think.

I hear you...
I amazed at how some people take the time they get with each other for granted.  I treasure time with my husband above anything. The moments are precious I guess there is something to that old saying absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Military_Wife, That atmosphere of hostility has to be so bad for a child.

It just may be her mother and dad's fighting that makes her long for you...
It's good she's got you and, of course, Carl.

Isn 't that the truth???
One day they will wake up and wonder where their lives have gone.  Sad.

I can't say we will blog together.  Carl has some serious problems with writing.  He has dyslexia and was never diagnosed.  I know the signs because our daughter also has it.  Add to that a lousy school system when he was growing up he fell through the cracks.  A man with close to 130 IQ and he has trouble spelling...it's something he is really sensitive about.  But trust me you will still get the stories.  He can be a royal pain in my butt and seems to live with both feet in his mouth.

Oh yeah, I'm guessing that once Carl comes home you will be absent
from Blogit awhile, but do you think down the road you'll blog together?  I, personally, would like to hear from both of you!  I enjoy you two's antics!

Military...I hate when people behave in front of me like that. I hate
couples who nitpick at one another in front of company.  I hate that some people think they're funny when they do it.  I repsect my husband and myself more than that and would NEVER lay our personal issues out before an audience.  Unless of course, it's here on blogit, where I use my husband to make people laugh...all in good fun!

Me too Masky
It's a nightmare to be the one sitting there as they do it.  WHY do people think it's OK to make others uncomfortable along with themselves?

Military...indeed it is! I learned this a long time ago. I also learned
that all that energy WASTED on being angry, hostile, or in disagreement with another is damaging!  I'm glad I learned these hard lessons a long, long time ago!

JoJo
It's one I wish more would remember.  It's a pity to see people tear one another apart over dumb crap.

That is absoutely the biggest lesson I have learned in my career, to never ever take anything for granted. It's too bad other people can't see that. It's so great Dharma has an aunt like you that can teach her that lesson.
