Yep.  Siblings are the ones who know the most about you, no matter what.  They share your parents, your childhood, your blood, everything.  They've gotten me through tough times, so I can only repay the favor by watching out for them. :)

you go girl
I think the bonds b/w siblings is very strong, in fact stronger than that b/w a child and a parent.  Think about it.  There is no one else in the world more like you than your siblings.  They are an extension of you so it is only natural to be overprotective of them.  And don't let the bus incident get to you before you know it you'll be off to college.  Just remember to stay in touch with the ones you love and use so much energy defending.  They will be there for you someday.

Tandra--
My sister (six years older than me) used to do the same thing.  Standing up for yourself and loved ones is fine.  Learning how to do it effectively, without bringing the house down on your head, takes a bit more time and practice.

I would have given you a medal instead of a suspension.
