This was a very intersting read!  Seems my kitchen is normally clean and tidy, relatively picked up, and easily acessible.  The family room seems to gather quite a bit of books, magazines, and trinkets from the kids.  However, my hallways are always cluttered with things I place there hoping the kids or my husband will put things away instead of walking around or over them in order to get where they need to go.  Unfortunately, they ignore the obstacles and simply hurdle them or take another route!  I must work on this this weekend!

Yes, I'm discarding all unused items. We hoard like squirrels.

Very good
My brother asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I said either help cleaning my house or money to hire someone. I broke my arm and am very much behind on everything. A friend overheard this conversation at church and said she has a ministry which is helping people clean house. She is a teacher and cannot always see progress but she likes to clean because immediate progress is visible. She is coming Saturday. I have to clean for the cleaning lady by then of course but hope to get out of the doldrums that are caused by clutter an untidiness and that are holding me back from accomplishment.

Hi Sweetie, I was sitting here thinking "what a clean, organized apartment I have," when I remembered my closets, somedraws, and one corner of my bedroom are stuffed with paper and business envelopes.  I think I'll take care of it today.  I couldn't agree with you more.  I bet your house looks great!!!
