CB_Andrews -- "cheap" is all in the eye of the beholder
and only the individual who pays their membership fee has the right to define how they will use this site, (inside of the site user agreement of course). Provocative titles which are irrelevent to blog content are part of the game if people so choose, as is controversial subject matter. The beauty of this site is that anyone who finds a particular blog offensive need, not come back to that blog. There are so many people that have exercised such admirable discipline and restraint in that regard, that they have kept my blog at number 1 for most of the last 2 weeks....go figure.

this is true, but that's a litte cheap. i mean i could title a post, "i hate Jesus," and then have the post be about checkers or chess or bobby fisher...i guess i would lose some credibilty that way, too, though.

This is blogging first. The blog subject matter is quite often secondary.

i personally
wish more people would comment on my postings whether they agree or not. I'd actually prefer people to disagree. I have felt many who have argued with me do so based off of my comments and not my posts. they post stuff to piss people off and wait for the comments to roll in. effective, yes. but c'mon...it's one thing to start a post, it's another to go to someone else's and challenge.

Xeno-x - The answer to your last question is easy - a combative nature
and an ability to derive extreme pleasure from bopping crazed bible thumpers on the head. As for what we know about death, I can add another aspect. Even those who are pronounced clinically dead but are somehow revived can only tell us about unusual sensations such as out of body experiences and not much more. The hypoxia induced white light in the mind's eye is common as well.

yeah -- regarding commenting
that's the subject isn't it?
I've had the "round and round" with the same people you have (where are they now?).
NOPEACE is pretty amicable compared to those people.
I don't mind having a discussion with him.
me? I feel jealous sometimes because I have to go to others' blogs to get into a heated discussion. They don't come to mine.
They go to yours though.
That's why you're no. 1 here and I'm not.
What do you have that I don't?

about who's going where
ain't nobody here who knows
nor is there anybody here who can judge.
see?
NOPEACE forgot about that judging thing.
I'll do a little more on judgment some time later.
nobody knows what happens once people die -- unless and until the people who die have experienced it.
and nobody who has ever dies is telling either.
all is purely speculation.
The Old Testament mainly states that all animals' fates are the same.
The New Testament does not describe in detail anything really.
Revelation is metaphor -- not literal -- so that's out of the question as a source.
anyway that's it for now.

Gome, I agree...a few have implied the same about me in the past because
of my posts on what they called "witchcraft." Since I don't boil body parts, oils and herbs in a couldron and call forth spirits to do my bidding, I believe they're way off, but I suppose my interest in Quantum Physics and other things on the "edge" often gets the eye brows of the Inquisitors up. Oh, and the
fact that I seduce innocent Blogit men must be proof.

Ariala -when someone speaks of eternity in absolute terms, I can only offer
a detached humour. Any of us may feel we hold a certainty of what awaits us but no one really knows for certain. To speak with an absolute certainty and then begin condemning others demonstrates for me what type of person I am dealing with. The list of people from Blogit that have told me I'm going to hell is a fine list of fine people.....loonicorn, PIMP, thelongroad, NOPEACE .....that's just for starters.

Xeno-x - I dunno but this is the 3rd or 4th time he has suggested that it
will be my fate for eternity. It must be nice to know who's going where, not to mention assuming the planning of other people's afterlives. "The afterlife planner", sort of like the wedding planner but more permanent.

NOPEACE, which is it? - a repost of a comment by Xeno-x with re-formatting
Luk 13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
Luk 13:26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
Luk 13:27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all [ye] workers of iniquity.
Luk 13:28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you [yourselves] thrust out
or
Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Mat 25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
Mat 25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Mat 25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Mat 25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did [it] not to one of the least of these, ye did [it] not to me.
says nothing about atheists.
seems to talk about the religious leaders of his day though.

of course NOPEACE raises the question
who's really going to Heaven?
some Christians believe that he's not.
so how does he respond to that?

DamonLeigh -- yeah, no kidding - can you imagine spending eternity with
some of the characters that have shown up on this blogging site?
That would be the true definition of hell, even if they called it heaven, I'd be spending my time trying to tunnel out of the place.

The Idea...
...that only Christians will go to heaven and the majority of the people of the world will go somewhere else actually cheers me. Eternity being warm has to be better than eternity being bored and ear-chewed!
Also, the idea of a 'Christian' grinning from ear to ear while they watch you being caste into a lake of fire seems a little bit contrary to the supposed Christian attitude.

NOPEACE -- as usual you do not dissapoint -- I simply cannot imagine going
through life spending my time trying to make reality fit fantasy, which it seems is all that you are capable of. You speak of being open minded. That's hilarious coming from you, a person with a full fledged bible lobotomy, who's mind couldn't be more closed. As for man evolving from monkies, where have I ever said that I subscribe to that particular portion of the theory of evolution? For someone who doesn't know Darwin from Edwin Hubble, maybe you should just concede your ignorance on the subject and leave it at that.
You say you'll never call me a fool after in effect doing so. Here's the problem with you suggesting that someone has a flawed intellect; you do not have what it takes to be the judge. Generally speaking, measuring someone's intellect can only be done by those who have the ability or intellect themselves to do so. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you ain't one of those people. I'd concentrate on learning how to fart and chew gum first, if I were you. But "if I were you" ultimately, is a horrible thought for someone such as myself. I shudder at the thought of wasting my life trying to reconcile an ancient and ever redundant document with the real world. ..and as for the final judgement that you speak of, I already know how that is going to go. You and people like you will get laughed out of heaven for being so obtuse, for thinking that following some old book is a ticket to heaven when it cannot possibly be. Sorry about your luck smuck but you've been sold a bill of goods. There are no tickets to heaven.
Your feeble attempts to belittle those who are exponentially smarter than you won't get you there either.

Gome,
maybe its because you are not open minded enough to consider the truth of biblical teaching and are caught up in your on flawed intelligence and hell bent to believe that what some other flawed intellectual person have shoveled out about scientific research as it pertains to creation. Some people that I know would call a person who believes that a man was once a monkey stupid to their face. However, I'm not that offensive to people and their disbeliefs of God.
I hope and wish that anyone who hears the word of God and the teachings of the bible would submit their life to Christ but I know that's not possible. The bible says that a person who refuses to hear the word of God is a fool. Fools eventually go to hell where they burn for all eternity. One thing that I would hope a fool would remember as they toast in hell is all the times someone told them about God and they rejected the word and call the messenger a fanatic for spreading propaganda about a false magical God so they for all eternity they regret the decision they made.
I tell you what Gome, if you want to block me from commenting on your post, go ahead. I'll never call you a fool, it's not my place. But I'll tell you one thing I will do...I'll be the one with the big smile during the day of the Judgement when Christ tells all atheist "depart from me you do'er of iniquity, for I do not know you," as the angels of heaven carry them off to be cast into the lake of fire.
