So true...first the chalace must be empty (like the tea cup) before it can ever be filled with wisdom.  It's in the process of letting go that we can "empty" our cups.  (And in letting go, get rid of all our garbage as well.)  Great post!

The empty vessel.... we often have little faith that our empty mind will be filled again, yet it is natural law, emptiness lends itself to fullness and wholeness as day blends into night. The only spiritual principle, really, is: let go!
