He threw a CARROT at your husband? Oooh. Now, there's a tough guy. I'm wondering how long before this house starts to look like the Bates Motel, with "Mother" up in the attic. It's creepy, first off, with a grown man living with his mother. Next, like you say landlords and roommates want the rent money, but they absolutely don't want to deal with another person. I hope you can move soon. These people sound creepy and possibly dangerous.
