I can remember when I was a child, my Dad brought home a  large reel tape of Laural and Hardy, I feel in love with them! I would love to find some Amos and Andy!

What an amazing memory and one that I doubt our country will ever relive again.  I am afraid for a long time to come we will be waving goodbye to our troops.

Military_Wife, I remember all those things but I was already a wife and mother then.  I remember the wonderful day that WWII ended and everyone went nuts marching in the streets, clanging pots and pans, waving flags and hooraying.   I remember thinking that it would always be peace and never war anymore.

I can't find Mash on any station around here.  I told my husband I want the DVD's for Christmas (someone told me they have them now)

It seems each generation looks back and realizes their childhood was so much safer...it makes me sad for the next generation as I look at how this one has to live.

Quirky

Billy Beer was a marketing BUST using Former President Carter's drunken brother Billy.  It wasn't around long, I just remember everyone laughing when it came out.

Koogle was flavored peanut butter,  the was chocolate peanut butter (my personal fav) banana (that was ok) and vanilla (ICKY).  Seemingly the some kid chocked do death on a sandwich using the product and they went off the market short after.

beautiful post. I think we should all make a post like this, reminesce about our lives.

I remember the final episode of Mash<--- I'm actually watching MASH right now... it's always on in the household.. but I have a hard time watching the final one... I like to pretend that it's still 1978 and still on. The funny thing is that most of the series was made before I was born in 81.
