Yes. And the thing we want so much when we deny ourselves this simple thing is what we would have if we took responsibility for it!

Yes, that's it in a nutshell. What the world does can either be the source of sorrow, or a source of healing.

Avant- So true!
The direction is determined within oneself. Call it conscience, morality, or ethics- it is the decision to love or to fear. All action springs from this seemingly innocuous choice.

The decision is yours
How I love that. If more would take responsibility for their own happiness I think we would have a happier world in general.

Decide to love and what the world does will be of no concern.
Simple statement, but it is true..It is like a something that GheeGhee (an ex-blogit member) wrote somet time ago
- If you are a true believer, the actions of individuals mean nothing and the love of God means everything!

Of course, you must say no in order to deal with anger appropriately. But, love is the transcendence of anger. So, we are talking of a 'both and' situation. To see oneself as taken advantage of is already choosing fear instead of love. The way I have learned it is that love is not what you take from a situation: it is what you decide to be in any given situation. When you are free, you won't hold another in chains of your expectancy.

Hey Avant
last night thinking, I was trying to understand the way kindeness or love can be given as encouragement. This I dont think is always a good choice. If everyone around is loving does thiat not give a green light for whatever you choose, good or bad. Do you believe unconditional love also involves saying no?
your post touched on this, I remembered .Thanks avant
