Really Simple Syndication
RSS is an XML-based language that pulls down information from the web. don't worry about what XML means. It's used mostly for news, stocks, sports scores, blogs etc. that are updated frequently. An RSS reader, which can really just be a web browser, pulls the information instead of having to browse to it.
