Well, you ARE a pain in the ass, Glennie. But it would take alot for
me to join the rank and file some around here and block you for it.  Besides, I enjoy your insults too much...

Divine 1,
The MO is too familiar! I cannot see how a person can be such an "ass", then deny it, try to seem normal, and get angry when caught! Thanks for the read!

Never said you weren't
involved in community projects but maybe if you told people about them in your blogs, you'd get a more positive response. The TV show I was referring to is not in it for ratings, it's sponsored entirely by the business community. I should have clarified a little. I did not mean for you to start a TV show but maybe you could do a little fix it in your own community. The idea is to get community envolvement. You cannot rely on the government to fix things - Most politicians are just in it for themselves.

Fionajean,

What makes you think that I am not involved in projects that have a little more substance than TV drama and hype! There are enough shows of that ilk here on American TV. Giving allows you to have power over the reciever! Teaching allows the reciever to respect the power of giving! A strange paradox and an over emphasis on giving creates the illusion of moral supremacy!

How many of these companies or individual would have the courage to employ people who are in need?

I have to agree with you on
the invasion of Iraq and also the previous Gulf wars. These were not acts justifiable by people of conscience and were, I believe, motivated by greed. I cannot comment on Barbara Bush's reaction to the Hurricane victims as I am not American but South African and was not there.

Perhaps I am just an idealist but I believe that you would get a lot more people on your side if you sounded less negative. Why not post a blog on what you're doing in your community to help people?

We have a brilliant show here called "Let's fix it". The show asks for assistance from the public to help identify people in need and then asks businesses and people related to businesses to help. Maybe you could start something like that?

Fionajean,

It is curious that you and most people who read my writings see "hatred"?? This does give me reason to pause, and consider two questions: 1)  Is the critique rational? 2) Is the critique justified? And in every case I find the answer in the negative!

Was the invasion of Iraq the act of a man possed by love for humankind? Were Bill Bennette's comments the words of a man seeking a sane approach to crime in America? Did Barbara Bush have compassion and love in her heart for the victims of a natural disaster? Is the "Racist" climate in America a continuation of past injustice? Was George Bush voted into power to protect White Racism?

There are too many unanswered questions for me to rely on words from a man of peace, quoted as a matter of convenience! Yes if only we "all" could live by them!

Just a couple of things to say to you:
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
Martin Luther King, Jr.

"All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence."
Martin Luther King, Jr.

Unfortunately, you seem consumed with hatred and your blogs certainly do not uplift humanity. Maybe you should take the example of a great man like Martin Luther King and try to build up instead of tearing down. Blogging is an ideal forum for someone like you. I wonder if you'd have the guts to stand up for your principles if you didn't have an anonymous forum in which to do so?

Gleenb,
Why can't I get a job as full-time Blogger! What a "Nigger" can't use the cash?
