My oh my. I'm with Scoop. The war on terror cannot be won. It will never end. We need a smarter plan to help slow it down. Our current plan has only increased terrorism. I don't know if you remember this but George Bush actually said at one point that he didn't think '...you could ever win the war on terror!" Then of course Karl Rove got to him and the next day he was back to 'We must win this war on terror!" For one minute he was real and I almost liked him then. Throw the bums out!

then the question arises
how can we clear out both Afghanistan and Iraq of "insurgents" (could be they call themselves freedom fighters?) while fighting wars in Syria and Iran at the same time?
of course this points back at my link to a news story about China in another of my recent posts -- If we get ourselves (concerning the "our" -- I'm a "Tonto" to the Lone Ranger when they were surrounded by INdians -- "What you mean WE, white man?") bogged down in a mess in four countries and having to fight this thing on many fronts, then China can invaade Taiwan or take any number of actions that we cannot oppose.

That is just what the Americans want to hear that we could be in

Iraq for the next 5 to 10 years and then throw in on top of that another war or two. Terrorism will never go away and we must fight it but not with wars like the one in Iraq it has done nothing but pour more fuel on the muslim fire. The other day they arrested two insurgents in Iraq one from Syria and one from Jordan.  You cut the head off one snake and another appears. how many times have you heard that the US has killed or captured the #2 man in Al Qaeda, everytime we do another on takes his place. The US is spending $4 million per day  plus another $1 million in Afghanistan.

The Bush foreign policy, the Department of Defemse, the Pentagon and the CIA are all running in different directions.
