Watching Wilma on the television right now. Looks like Cozumel is going to get pounded.

Did he get the date?
Or did she send him on his way, minus the ball?

No, but the funniest line I ever experienced
was when a guy came up to a girl, asked her "do you wanna ball?" and then handed her a rubber ball. She took the ball.

Uh, Nope.
Only if they have perfect delivery and it's clear the guy is trying to be funny and he knows it's cheesy....he can make me laugh at him, with him. If then it's followed by a real conversation, he might be in. Mostly, hi...you look beautiful....wanna dance....can I buy you a drink....I'm a sucker for redheads....simple things work for me. Simple or funny. But, I'm pretty assertive, so if I see what I want, I make sure I let him know or I make the move myself. My best move thus far didn't involve much talking. I saw this hot guy and said, hi...he said, hello back. I noticed he had a British accent, love accents, love British men. Love em. I said, kiss me please. He did....just walked right over and we stood there on a street corner downtown making out. Never saw him again. (my choice) Never saw him again.

Now I have another question. It's to do with Ebay. I'm gonna dash off a post in a minute.

word.smith, I was keeping up on your request for cheesy lines but I could not think of any as it has been way to long since anyone tried to pick me up. LOL

UsualSuspect, too late!
Seems it will head for the Yucatan Peninsular. I'm praying the people in Florida don't get hit again. As it is, the conditions for strengthening are favourable. Thanks for dropping in.

Aria,
Thanks - that storm is determined to just do a slow saunter past here. It's moving at
4 miles per hour. Can you believe that?

We are expecting rain for the next 4 days as well. Some people are already flooded out and with the ground saturation, some retaining walls have been lost as well as houses on riverbanks. It's at these times that I give God thanks that I only have leaks here and there.

Timmy,
I suppose that there is never going to be 100% success.

Silvermoon,
I don't think there are more than a few men who can pick-up a woman using a line and be successful at it. A man has to be original - not to mention funny - to get away with something like that.

Pick-up lines were usually a giant turn-off for me. I 'd always felt somewhat insulted by them. "What? do I look that stupid to you?" I've always preferred authenticity. Especially if someone made me laugh.

Hope you weather the storm okay. It can get monotonous watching it rain for days on end.

Well, to tell you the truth, not many pickup lines have been used on me, nor was I ever much good at them myself. Women have a different way of going about it for the most part, and I did experience some of that, which I do not regret. Hemlocker
