the fear of being punished...
often comes from a bad religious teaching...my grandmother also used to describe God as a bad punisher and it was wrong...totally wrong...

Incredibly beautiful post.
Especially loved "coming home reveals that we never left...Love and acceptance of ourselves dissolves the possibility of failure & punishment." How true...if only we could easily accept & love ourselves - it'd make loving others SO much easier (and easier to let go of stuff too).
