Our hearts go out to you both. Nathan attended the funeral and said it was quite a service. When our nephew died, his dad was a volunteer fireman. They took his casket to the cemetery on one of the fire trucks. It was sad and neat at the same time. I will post more when I think I have it right, it is so hard to do, but your encouragement is welcome. Again, our hearts and thoughts are with you, take care.

Hi F4T, It's ok with me if you say who I am and who Superfly was...
Just thought you should know, he didn't make it even en route, technically. Willie was declared dead at the hospital, yes, but all involved believe he actually passed while still on the track. Probably while he was still laying on the ground. I appreciate you taking time to talk about my tragedy, and for giving me anonymity during this beginning period. I was going to attempt to post, and eventually will. Until then, thanks for breaking the ice for me, it will be easier that way.
Anyway, you have my permission and appreciation to name me and my son, if you wish to, in any future posts you write mentioning the death of my little Superfly...

(It looks like I'm back to blogging when I feel up to it, all money I earn here will go into The Willie McCormick Youth Foundation and folks can contact me about Willie and the foundation at superflyskids@hotmail.com until I establish a permanent website and email address. Thanks buddy, later...)
