Well I'll be!!!!!!!! What will science think of next? It reminds me of an automatic washroom in Niagara. The urinal self flushed; the liquid soap squeezed itself; the hot water was automatic as was the paper towel. I couldn't figure out where the liquid soap was and as I walked along, every damn thing came on. So much for saving energy!! Thank you Krisles

I'm completely serious......it's connected to the plumbing....has these beads instead of litter.....a bottle of chemical substance that mixes with the water when it flushes.....when it cycles, it fills with water....agitates.....drains; each cycle is composed of three of these mini-cycles, and this dissolves the solid waste....and then a hot dryer comes on and the beads are dried. I set the thing to do this however often I want it to depending on how many cats I have, etc. It's really neat. I had my cats trained to it but was going back and forth to KC so often and don't have one there so they got off of it for awhile....I trained them back to it this trip down.

That sounds like a great idea, Word - as long as there is a doggy seat as well.

Are you serious about flushing cat litter or are you winding me up, Krisles? I'm glad you had a giggle - that was the whole point of the blog.

Goodness, seems everybody is being inundated with rain!
Sounds like you need to have a couple of ski jets/jet ski's to hand on your deck just in case you need to make a quick getaway when the water takes over the house.

It's been in the mid-80's and dry as Samantha's bones here in Central Texas...perfect weather.....but my grass could use some rain. You need to get Samantha a litter box, like my cats use.....actually, they even have a flushing litter box that is hooked up to the plumbing system....flushes every 15 min. or so.....a bit of a startle if one of them happens to be in there when it happens..... Anyway, try to stay dry but at least all that rain gave us a great giggle reading your post...

Southern Ohio sounds just as wet as here, except at different times. Samantha is the same as Thumper. In fact if it was left to her, she wouldn't go anywhere near the rain. We've seen her eying the toilet a few times and wondering how to use it.

There is one thing about a sopping wet garden, BrightIrish; it's impossible to do any gardening, except for trimming the seaweed.

Like Taps we've had very little rain here in Southern Ohio--but when it
does precipitate, it's a gully washer usually, at least over the top of my house. Thumper hates wet grass--will do his "doody" in the driveway when it rains. Drives me nuts.

John....
This is the first day we have had here in a week without rain. I live on a Mt. and it would have to be a rain like Noah had to flood this house but we only have one road in and out and if there is a rock slide then we could be stuck either away from home or at home until it was cleared. I do hope your yard dries up soon and that you can enjoy next week.

You enjoy it, Tapsel. Seemingly we are going to have some Indian summer weather next week - it should take the whole week for the backyard to get un-flooded..... er.....dried out.

Johnmcnab, it is hard for me to picture all the rain that so many bloggers are getting/have gotten in the last week. It has been so beautifully, sunny and gorgeous here--perfect Indian summer weather. I wish I could share it with you.

I forgot to thank you ginnie. I did what you suggested and started writing. I had no idea where this blog was going until I got to each word. I'm quite pleased with it, and if I spent some time editing it, it would read real good ye ken. Ta very much.

Sure! We will all be discussing a new contract after this rains stops - if it ever does. In Camelot it doesn't rain so much as pound you to the ground, ginnie. The golf course is giving canoeing lessons on the 18th green. And the fish are biting on the 10th.

Does the Coast Guard know about you and Ell?
;) You could always offer to plant lilly pads in your neighbours 'gardens'! I didn't know it ever rained in Camelot..I mean Canada! ;)
