Hard to stay detached if you put everything into it.
One has to keep from investing their ego into their work. Detachment yields more objectivity.
Probably why some drag queens look so much better than many women do, but that's another story...

Good post and that's exactly right...anymore, I take rejections from
editors as just another no not to take personally. Good reminder.
