T,
I hope you do pick up on our accents. Then I can make fun of you for a change. Wait til you meet C. She makes fun of me all the time. Always askin' me, "wait, say that again." Seems to be entertaining for her. Especially when I say certain words. What-evah.

It's not an "accent" dork...
It's a full on ACCENT. Yep, Erik's got one, too, but you guys can't gang up on me, because I'll be with the two of you and drinking (hence intensifying the aforementioned accents) so I'll sound just like your fucking asses man. You know how I pick up accents. I already say words like you half the time, DAMMIT. If I slip and call my Mom MA she'll cut me out of the will! Besides, if you're mean to me, I'll slip vodka in your drink.

Wait, Temple, are you making fun of my "accent" again?
You can never let me say certain words without mocking my "Chicago accent." Does Erik have one, too? I hope so, cause then we can gang up on you!

Cass,
Lightening when dieting is a good thing! I wish I could lighten without dieting, though. Hmmm...

MayB, I totally agree with that...
Most of the time, we can comprehend the humor and/or sarcasm in comments. Especially coming from those we "know." But sometimes, the comments are all too clear as to where we know they're expressing real feeling and seriousness, ya know?

I think something like what you describe is clearly humorous however there are other situations where people seem entirely serious but are not ;-)

Now people will think you're kinda scandelous though. ;) That's kinda fun! For my Mom, she's super uptight, I don't even know if she knows yet or even know what it means...but it's funny as hell to me knowing her.

Number one: Do not kill yourself, I am sure there is still something on your to do list.
Number two: This act gives pleasure to any who do not like you. Today is not the day to waste your pleasure giving.
Instead take a magic marker and draw an arrow to the button so no one misses it.
I can't remember what else so bad happened to you, sweet thing. You just go right in that office, sit on the floor beside your desk and eat your lunch. You will most likely get the day off and you can rethink the whole thing.
That's Mama's little girl!

Spiffy,
Did I just say that? I don't understand it at all. Usually I'm such a nice guy. I can't believe that I would talk that way. Was it someone else wearing my shirt? It must have been something like that. That just
wasn't me at all! Thank you very much.
Perhaps it was temporary insanity. But was it then, or is it now?

Dear Ms. Spitfire,
I don't know nothing about any of diss crap and I'm not about to learn just to please a box of Corn Flakes. I don't know, I don't want to know, and I am most definitely not going to learn and will fight anyone who tries to
force-teach me. Am I clear on that? If it seems clear to you, would you please explain it to me? I don't know what the hell I'm doing or saying. I'd like to hear about it, but I don't want to know. OK?

Misunderstandings abound in written "communication" but you're right - if you read someone often, know their styloe, etc., you should KNOW these things!!

Sorry Spitfire - a note to Temple -
You can tell her if it makes her feel any better, the legal department of the comapny I worked for and the U.S. Patent office let one of the patents I hold be related to "Electronic Massaging." That has an entirely different connotation than electronic messaging.

See if I write that one on a resume...

Hey, hand me that shotgun. I gotta go. Crackhead from Happyville....
On another note, in a newsletter describing how much money my Mother gave to the DNC for the last election, her profession was spelled incorrectly by some idiot. She is now forever known as a "methmatician" instead of a mathmatician. (true story)
