Kooka, you've made some good points/observations --

your first description of homosexuality -- which I believe you said was the belief that homosexuality is wrong because the Bible (God) says it's a sin -- is where I'm at.  You probably would be surprised to hear this, but I have actually tried several times over the years to rationalize and condone the lifestyle in light of the Bible.  Haven't been successful so far, but I've done that because of my homosexual friends, acquaintances or coworkers.

Does this response surprise you in light of some of the stuff I've written?  Most likely it will.  I do see all sides of the matter; there are no easy answers (for me; I realize the answer is obvious to you).  Of one thing I am certain: in God's eyes they are equal.  I am as much of a sinner as they are, and God's grace is as readily available to them as it is to me.

Am I still stuck in my opinion that they should not marry?  Yup.  Sorry, I didn't want to excite you too much by making you think I was crossing over to the other side. But did want to say that I enjoyed your blog.

kooka--I remember. Basically, I thought you were bashing

Christians.  My mistake.  And I didn't really see it when you spoke of Christian's attempting to inflict their views on you.  Thanks to NOPEACE, I do.  Many apologies.

I rarely have deep issues people who have differing views.

However, when those people choose to repeatedly single out an entire group to ridcule, judge, and belittle, THEN I have a problem.

One thing I'll give to NOPEACE... His perversion (yep, I'm reusing his own word) of Christianity is drawing fundamentalists, moderates, Buddhists, and athiests together.  Who says good can't come from bad?

There are things we can agree on.
I really can not remember what we were having an issue over. I do not plan to try and hunt down what it was, hoping that we can start fresh and accept each other's views and beliefs with respect and try to make it so our debates and disagreement are not personal, but in the spirit of sharing ideas.
I figure we will rarley agree as we are now, but that does not mean we will not get along.

Ya know...If someone said, "I think homosexuality is a sin and
sinners will receive judgement from God," that would be enough to make a point--although it's not one I necessarily agree with.  Making it your whole mission in life to constantly talk about the "sin" of homosexuality is nothing more than hate--and perhaps a bit of protesting too much.
