In defense of Gome
He and I exchanged friedly emails several times. He emailed me once aking if I was OK when I was absent for awhile. He truly shows respect when it is shown him.

My reaction Gome?

Laughter!

Thanks for pointing me to that blog and those comments.  I enjoyed and appreciated both the blog and the comments, the give and take, the articulate and less articulate.  Justsouno thinks you're in cahoots with the antiChrist?  I don't have the audacity to go that far.  I see you as being someone who was turned off of Christianity at an early age, and have been cynical of everyone who called him or herself a Christian ever since.  You've only focused on the negatives and downfalls of Christians.  You've never allowed yourself to see what I've seen -- all the people who have been able to overcome because of a personal relationship with Christ.

But I believe it was Cantey who warned you to stay out of the sun, and I would concur.  You look a bit red, and I'd hate for you to develop skin cancer.  After all, you wouldn't want a nurse practitioner such as MYSELF removing moles and suturing you back up now would ya?

JanesOpinion -- you've already forgotten my most important blog rule:

I only respond in kind. When provoked I like to kick a little Christian ass, it's good exercise. Of course it was suggested once again that I was the anti-Christ. I'm a demon....boo .....are you scared? Well I figure I have 2 choices. I can be a professional tackling dummy for the ill educated and shallow of thought, or I can kick a little dirt on their shoes. I chose the dirt because all other forms of higher reasoning had consistently failed. Check out the cartoon I dropped in response.

Now tell me how you would react to this? This should be interesting.

Wow Gomer,

I didn't think you could get more fiercely antagonistic, but it would seem it's possible and you've done it. Congratulations! I do hope you're enjoying your victory.  I'm wondering just what religious person crapped on your party, cuz you've gone from generally being jovial and negative to downright vengeful and negative.  Thanks, as always, for mentioning the most extreme of the faith in your exegesis of all the failings of Christendom.  You go, pal.

If it makes you feel better, my neighbor, a very earnest Christian, 40-ish and the mother of four kids, died earlier this year.  She experienced no earthly miracles.  She suffered a tremendous amount of pain and her childrens' lives have been forever changed.

There were many, many churches destroyed by the recent hurricanes.  Built strong or not, the mighty power of these two massive storms destroyed everything in its path.  So much for your mention of hurricanes.

What hasn't been on the news is the thousands of people from different churches (including 100+ from my church in Michigan) who've pitched in to help with all these hurricanes -- helping Christian and non Christian alike.  Boy, but those smucks who've been bending over backwards to help clean up the messes left behind by Katrina and Rita must really be brainwashed idiots in your book. What a pathetic lie they're living. To leave family behind, to put their jobs on hold, to donate thousands of dollars, to go help these strangers . . . all because they're -- what did you call us?  Brainwashed smucks?  Yeah, right, brainwashed smucks.

And obviously, with their noses buried in their Bibles, it's amazing that they have any time whatsoever to be of any earthly assistance to people in need.  I didn't know we Christians were all so pathetic, until you brought it to our attention.  Wow but am I so very relieved and grateful to know.  Thanks for clueing me in to my condition.

And I am eternally in your debt.

Great post.
I agree.  As soon as fat can be instantly cured by a faith healer, I'll look into believing what they preach.
