and that is sad, we need all the brothers we can recognize. Posted a poem inspired by your "dust of stars" comment. Hope you enjoy it

"Keep the watchful eye within, and there freedom will be found. It lies in the realization that to judge others is to make them strangers instead of brothers."

it is natural as breathing. how would we experience ourselves, without knowing what it is we have done? but, as children grow into adults, so must the mind realize that it cannot make happiness, it cannot strive for peace, and it cannot possess love.

judging to me seems natural, like it also gives us a sense of who we are.But often it is not in love. Thanks for the post

avant--
another nice post--I especially like the last line. If only everyone would remember that, what a *truly* wonderful place the world would be.

That's true. There are so many choices to make every day. I've learned to listen to my intuition a lot. Even if it sounds unreasonable, I've learned through mistakes that it is the most direct way. It's astounding.

Yes, it is. Keeping one eye inward keeps the outward in order. Thanks for the good comment.

you must use judgment in order to function; but, it becomes a source of much suffering when it has control.

So true avant-garde. Except that we need to look out AS WELL AS within.
It is symbiotic process in my opinion.
