As you rightly pointed out, there are no screaming matches here, for I think there is no basis .This is simply because we all are not bound to have the same opinion. I suspect that those who scream are only those who want to impose their wishes on to others. Thank you very much for reading and I hope that you will be back again to read the final phase. However, I want to apologise for reacting late. God Bless.

Kris
whatever scent you like, can even mix them.  One of my favorites is sandalwood and vanilla.

MW/Reni
Believe it or not, when I'm getting foo-foo'd, is one time I don't like to talk, I want to just be pampered and lie back or sit back and soak it all in.....so a good gay friend is a waste.  I had a good gay pal in KC and loved to go out to eat and to movies with him, and we went to galleries and shopping....especially to the antique districts because he was an addict....but, never to the spas.  And, MW, what kind of sugar scrubs...different scented oils?  And, Reni, where have you been....are you over your sickies? Feeling better, I hope?

Reni
If I ever find Carl in the chair next to me, I am going to ask the alien to return my husband!  As for the gay male friend...I miss mine...he left me for his new husband and now he won't go out and play with me   It's a good thing, I adore the husband.

I would love to have a cool gay guy friend to go with...
But a straight guy....NEVER.  Not even hubby.

I make sugar scrub and give it as gifts
I cna't use oily products on my skin but everyone seems to love it.  As for the male in the chair...only if he is willing to engage in "girl" talk.

i would stay with the horse liniment
because, although i don't know what the word "liniment" means, i think we can all agree that things with "horse" in the name are usually beneficial to overall good health.

God, I love me some sugar scrub!
That sounds absolutely amazing!  We have a service at the spa called a gingerlemongrass rub. I haven't tried it yet, but it's 2 hour service that involves a half-hour rub and wrap followed by a ninety minute massage...good lord there can't be anything better than that!

I gott agree
with you there. A man at the salon always strikes a slightly discordant note with me.   But it does take courage for a man to sit down and be comfortable surrounded by women who are getting done. These days there are salons exclusively for men.

KRIS

My Dear Cornbread... Sounds heavenly, is your shoulder getting any better?

You have mad me think this week might be a good one for a massage, especially since we are going to dipping down into the cooler weather. After a massage I feel like a lot of toxins have been released into my system, but water purges that, along with green tea!!

Krisles,
Sounds interesting. Some of those ingredients were making me hungry. Now, personally, I wouldn't worry about men or cats, I'd worry about being followed by bees with all that sweet stuff! Glad you enjoyed it. Oh, and hey, if the theraputic stuff works, let me know, K? I'll try anything at this point!

I'd have to agree to keep the men out of there...

krisles--

the best part was after the actual body wrap (which was kind of weird, like being made into a living mummy!)-but after, we got to shower together in this giant walk-in shower. that was cool.

changing the subject--I wonder if my cats like spearmint too?

Quirky
I bet that herbal body wrap was nice....and, alone in a room with a lover, I think it would be nice to share.  Yes, these pesky felines.....they love this spearmint....I wonder if they follow the horses around ......

krisles--
the sugar scrub sounds great; I laughed at the part about the cats licking you (who knew they liked spearmint? lol) and I agree about separate places for men and women (altho I once had an herbal body wrap treatment together with a boyfriend at a spa, and that was nice!).

A million thanks for reading my post this sunday. I do think that, it won't be easy for people with the sole aim of destroying and tarnish Bush to accept that, he has done a single good deed in the US or abroad. Meanwhile, I hope that you will be back tomorrow. Good Bless.

Cunning.....testoste-rogue! That's one of your best yet! Love it!
I must admit...the whole issue is a bit confusing....not quite sure how I feel about it.  Basically, I don't think issues like pampering and such define how much of a man, a man is.....and, the things do feel so good that I don't mind sharing.  But, I also feel so feminine doing them, and it's such a part of the whole ritualistic part of preparing myself to be touched and stroked....worshipped and adored.....you know, that stuff you men do so well!! (even when there's not a prayer of having it done....the mere thought is soooo enjoyable!).....soooooo, I just don't know....

I'll be politically incorrect. I'm incorrect a lot.

I'm a heathen, and I don't think this stuff is for guys.  There, I said it.  A massage is fine, but when you go beyond Bed Bath and Beyond you've crossed over into queer eye territory.  I feel bad for homosexual men; straight guys are horning in on all their routines.  As long as I continue to have a penis, I refuse to have cucumber slices resting on my eyes.  There used to be homosexuals & heterosexuals, but then guys wanted to have it both ways (wait, that's not what I mean).  I mean, the metro-sexual was created and George Stephanopoulos is the result.

Also, I think guys dying their hair is another questionably queer routine.  Just my opinion.  I'm giving it to you straight.  I'm glad you enjoyed your treatment, Krisles.  Sorry about the misplaced testoste-rogue sitting next to you.  :-)

Krisles....With a fireplace??? Wow....I like Brenda, too, haha
Yes, it's great to take care of our skin, and put on this and that...and smell like a dream. I think most men like that....I keep laughing about your cats, though. I just find that very funny and can just see them all over you.pulling on your nightie...lol..

Medusa....We only have one life for sure, right?...Might as well pamper....
And those cats! I can't believe they will lick me right through the material...weirdest feeling!  And they are relentless....of course, they could be alcoholics because it has quite a kick!  Yes, I do love that sugar scrub...I have a bluebonnet scented one, too.  I bet you pamper yourself right, too.  Brenda has a bathroom with a fireplace....ummm, it's heavenly to bathe in.

Oooo, Krisles...Such a sweet scrubbing down.....
I loved your cats licking the spearmint off you through your nightgown...I couldn't stop laughing. I love your girly-girl showering routine with the big watertank and the lovely things you put on your body. And how you take care of your skin. A sensuous post...I agree...I like separate bathing facilities for me, too. I think it makes more sense. And if I ever marry, two separate bathrooms, haha..Women need a special place to do their stuff and apply their secret potions..Between the Egyptian cotton sheets and sweet-scrubbin' bottles, you are one pampered chick. That's why I like you!!!

Brimstone! How wonderful to hear from you! I've missed you so much....
I hate you had that "contest" experience with the massage....had you relaxed in the hands of the therapist, you probably would have experienced relief, if not pleasure.....tension of the muscles caused pain, my macho man.  Don't you know how we women bear the pain we do?  Relax and breathe....let our bodies go.....  As for the pampering.....as you say, to each his own.....just so they don't get it in my space.  Personally, I don't care, as long as a man is clean; although, smooth hands do feel better on the skin....so, do you compromise with Cornhuskers lotion when you approach your wife, or does she just have you give her a good back scratch?  Of course, she's probably glad to see you however she gets you.....like I am!

SilverMoon7...you can come bathe at my house anytime! And we will allow no
men!  I'm so glad you enjoy your foo-foo, too!  Do they have lots of little spas over there that you can go to for pampering?  Or do you have a home set-up like mine?

JoJo....My daughter's skin is too sensitive for scrubs, too.....
and many of the products....so I find her products that are soothing to her skin....there are ones out there if you look...try the website www.aromafloria.com , if my memory serves me right.  I get my inhalation beads from them, and I think they had some great bath products, as well.

Mmm..That sounds so nice. My skin is incredibly sensitive so I can't use a lot of the foo foo stuff but I still love it anyway.

OMG.  that's sounds wonderful!  Can I come to your house to take a shower???  I agree with having separate facilities for men and women when it comes to pampering AND working out.  It's just too intimiate to share with the opposite sex, except under certain circumstances.

Krisles

Hi!

To each their own, but I don't see how a man can bring himself into a place to be pampered. My hands are callous-covered, scarred-up and, at times, cracked and bloody. It hurts at times, but, here in Southern Ohio, the "complements" from other working men override that pain.

I remember dreading that massage my chiropractor ordered me to get for my lower back. I was laying there on a table with a rather attractive lady doing the rubbing. There was another man being massaged by another good looking lady not ten feet away from me. The women repeatedly told each of us that if we felt pain or discomfort, that we should let them know. Thus, came the contest...

I would swear that my massage therapist was mashing a dull knife into my lower spine, the pain was that bad. But, there was another fellow in the room and I would be damned if I was going to confess pain.

Neither one of us made so much as a puppy-yipe. I guess you could say that we both won the contest, but you should have seen us walking like upright turtles out of the office!
