millions of Christians no longer condemn homosexuality -- you will find many of the major denominations accepting it. Let's get that straight. It's a fallacy that Christians (as a whole) condemn it. This is like saying that all cats are lions.
as to the percentage - I guess that, if you don't see too many homosexuals, you would think that they are a small percentage of society. I, however, am where I encounter dozens of homosexuals -- and this leads me to believe that the percentage just might be higher than the estimate.
most people i know of accept homosexuality. that would tend to disrupt any belief to the contrary.
to the subject of Hitler -- religion has been the basis of many an atrocity -- many a discrimination -- invalid religion, that is -- and in the name of religion, many people today feel that homosexuals should not have the same rights as the rest of us (or the majority of us)
this was the constitutional amendment in Colorado that got struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court -- it invalidated any local attempts at protecting the rights of homosexuals -- a blatant violation of the U.S. Constitution -- and most of the supporters of the amendment were no doubt Christian.
very similar to Hitler.
I posted something about "they came for the homosexuals" a while back -- and "I did nothing" -- hearkening back to the days of Nazi Germany.

To compare people with beliefs in God with Hitler is a stretch by any means. I know people are smarter than that. Hitler was a profound speaker, and a very powerful politician. He used anything as propaganda.
