- Go to The United States will suffer a devastating terrorist attack!
poet the basis for a fair decision...
poet, the soviet union was basically out spent. It's not that that was a bad thing. However the US cannot take any special congrats for that. That we defeated one evil does not remove us from responsibility in other areas.

DAMONLEIGH AND RAVENDARKE - I STAND BY MY CONCLUSIONS - THERE IS NO SOVIET UNION, THERE IS NO BERLIN WALL
America has been and still is one of the great bastion's of freedom, and if we will return to our God and our heritage of faith, we will continue to be!

a response to DamonLeigh and poet-3
DamonLeigh and Poet-3. I appreciate both of you reading and commenting on my work. Damon, I asgree with what you posted in the comment section. I am releasing a series with details shortly and in my civilian guise am writing a feature piece based on this.
poet-3 the lack of anattack since 9/11 has much more to do with the increased security than a feeling of warm and fuzzy by citizens. A wave of patriotism swelled after 9/11 but patriotism is not always good either. Fervent nationialism and the isolationism or imperialism it often generates won't help anyone.

PS...
...the British government has just released a report suggesting that the war in Iraq may have actually impeded the pursuit of al-Qaida. Also, the organisation still poses a significant threat to British and American citizens.
The war was a mistake, as we've always said. And The War Against Terror (T.W.A.T.) is a sham to disguise the clamping down on ordinary people, and the removal of human rights under cover of national security.

Forgive Me, Poet-3.....
...but that's a wrong-headed arguement. The US government, and a goodly proportion of the people, happily sat back on their asses for many, many years, free of terrorist activity on US soil but gaily funding terrorists around the world, through the School of the Americas in Georgia (where bin Laden was trained), NORAID (funding the IRA in Ireland) and others.
Oaklahoma woke y'all up to the possibility that some US citizens are mightily pissed off.
9/11 should have woken y'all up to the fact that many, many people around the world are incredibly angry at American foriegn policy. It's been a free reign for the US since the USSR collapsed. A superpower that was once held in check by another now has unlimited power over global affairs, and we all know what power does.
Sadly, I think Raven is right And, frankly, the 'nothing's happened for almost two years now' arguement is mis-informed at best; downright delusional at worst.
I'll expand on this later in my Stop the Wars blog.

RAVENDARKE - I HOPE YOUR PREDICTION IS NOT TRUE, AT LEAST I KNOW
Your conclusions are not valid. Have you noticed there has not been a terror attack in this country since we started the war on terros. You might like to read my latest post on World (Stop, Look and Listen) about Bob Hope outliving the Soviet Union.
