someday I would like to hear what you believe, and not what you think of everyone else.

first of all
don't condescend to talk to me. I am a big boy. Second of all, I have no idea how old you are. You could be 12 for all I care. I have no veil and no hidden agenda...I am being straight up and honest. I have tried just debating with you, tried talking to you, tried reaching out to you, so to speak. I'm implying that you need help or that I am better or worse than you. I am not trying to "brainwash" you, either. You are so set on your side that you fail to see anything else. You shun everything everyone says and then rant and rave in blogs long enough to read while on the crapper.

CB_Andrews --here's the point lad
you are 30 years my junior and know nothing at all about me. Where it is possible to learn something from anyone regardless of age, your offers to help are comical to me. If for no other reason than your asumption that I am going to be able to swallow what you have swallowed. I have absolutely no doubt that your offers to help (regardless of whether I need it or not) are thinly veiled attempts at recruiting me into the cult that has made your brain so sparkly clean. All I can say to someone your age is to make all of your important life decisions now......while you still know everything.

I like Dire Straits. Mark Knopfler is an amazing guitarist. I love Private Investigations and Brothers In Arms...all of that. And Shawshank sits proudly in my movie rack. Why can't we talk about that? On some normal plain?

It seems that anyone with an opposing point of view can't even have a discussion with you. That's all many of us want to do...sure they get a little heated once in a while, but you peddling this "bible thumper" stuff is getting to be tired. There is nothing you can do to say God isn't real, or Christians are bad, or whatever it is you are trying to accomplish. I am not intimidated by you or your beliefs. I am, however, very disgusted at your level of sarcasm and anger when it comes to simply trying to debate things with you.

CB_Andrews - it shouldn't be that easy to prove that you are nothing more
than a brainwashed kid.

i was simply trying to help you, maybe understand why people in your family "hate" you as you said it. Maybe they have no reason to. I was all set to defend you.

i drank, and look forward to drinking again..someday. the question is, how much? drinking might not be wrong to them, but getting drunk might be. and no, the devil didn't invent beer. drop some of the sarcasm and cynical comments and more people will take you seriously.

Xeno-x -- that's it exactly in my case
"we live a good life and both sides take credit for it." .....there are some in our family (my side) that say I have been extremely blessed, while there are others in our family (in laws) who claim that I'm in league with the devil. I think this last claim is because I drink beer and everyone knows that the devil invented it.

could it be you coulda got more outta him?
if we "dance with the devil" -- what's the tune?
me? i just stay neutral -- figure if there's sides to be taken, someone will make me a good offer. maybe that's why my life is pretty good --- maybe why Kooka's is -- you know? -- don't know about yours -- but if it is -- maybe this is the time when both sides are trying to line up the fence sitters -- we live a good life and both sides take credit for it.

Xeno-x -- maybe it was only the hard of hearing believers? ...No?
Poor eyesight?.....could those be the reasons they didn't hear God's message? I know why I am as blessed as any Christian...it's because I made a deal with the devil. Yep, sold my soul to have a blessed life but when ol Lucifer saw it.... he wanted a refund...go figure.

there were many believers who did not show up for work that day. Xeno youve got some things here. God is always speaking and warning people of danger. People put God up on this mystical, far away pedestel when in reality he is down to earth and practical. Involved. You hear him in your spirit. And you have to be listening.
God speaks to EVERYBODY. The question is who is listening?
