jojostar,
It scares me daily.

Rach,

You are a great mommy but sometimes that's the best thing. Now, if we can just convince the bad ones to stop breeding...

It's scary to me that women who can't figure out the tests would have children.

lol
Pregnancy tests are damn expensive! So, I finally decided to just get my tubes tied so I could stop worrying about it altogether! :)

I know, MayB!!
I actually didn't post this cause I was taking a test, though. I was just commenting on the recent commercials I saw about this new home test and how "simple" they have made it. Good Lord! Does it really need to be any clearer for some to read?

Crazy isn't it? As if there isn't enough stress!

Krisles, you're right here.
Since most of us did at least go to kindergarten, maybe the green and red would be acceptable to most. Maybe. I just don't know nowadays!

LOL Rabbit!!!!
Don't worry, you're safe these days! Things have changed. Modern technology has saved rabbits but obviously has to oblidge to the um, less intelligent!

(Besides, MilitaryW...
I'm too young to be pregnant!)

Military, you silly! No!
I wasn't taking the test! Surely I would have told you guys that!

Hi Taps!
No, you haven't missed anything. It was just a simple observation of mine about the newest home pregnancy tests!

Spitfire
I agree! Pregnant is a really big word for folks who couldn't figure out lines....maybe their eyes couldn't focus...I bet that was the problem.  I just had a new granddaughter 9/26 and the sonogram they took the week before she was born was just like a photo of what she looked like when she came out.....incredible!  I think the whole window should turn green for yes or red for no.

>8-{ death to all rabbit killers!!! my vote goes to the bops on the head.

And I agree... what if the person can't read... maybe the crying face verses beer would be better... who knows... I'm going to get a really big carrot so I can defend myself against all the rabbit killers out there who can't read and want alternatives!!!

So did you everfigure the dang thing out? What did it say?
Inquiring minds want to know!

Spitfire, I've missed something here.  Is this post trying to tell us that you might be or are?   I'm sorry you are having so much pain.   I wish you were all better.

Offbeats, settle down, you.
You're too young to have killed any Little Bunny Foo Foo's hoppin' through the forest. Don't sweat it!!

They didn't tell me the rabbit would die! I would never kill a rabbit! Gosh I need to slow down!

Spiffy

So your saying I am responsible for the killiing, the murder of 3 rabbits in my life? They told me the rabbit died. I would kill a rabbit, I love rabbits, there love my house because they can eat any flower and vegetable they want. They sit on my back lanai and they are so cute. Totally serious I have no less than a half dozen at a time!

Thank God somebody came along and changed that process...

Symph,
I think the new developments they've made for ultra sounds and that new 4-D thingie to see the fetus is great. I just don't get the waste of time improving pregnancy tests; not as far as accuracy but how to read them!

Temple,
I know, isn't that perfect?

Offbeats,
Actually, the rabbit would bite the dust.

ginnieb,
Well at least it's true that they are much more accurate these days!! Happy 22nd to your Blue!

blackcat,
That's IT! The crying baby face or a beer to celebrate! Perfect. Who couldn't get that?

Justsouno,
Did those old fashioned tests really do that?

posted by SpitFire70 on October 1, 2005 at 3:02 PM | link to this | reply

Sincerity, thanks for the 411. Actually,
I already knew that. But many don't. It'll turn positive within a few seconds usually.

temple... LOL... glad I was able to make you laugh in Spiffy's post! LOL

I have heard about these....

they seem to be improving everything...just as the ultra scan...instead of those pictures...they will soon be able to take a proper coloured picture....Hmmm I always think if it is not broken then don't fix it...but people keep coming up with new inventions....

All I can say right now is LOL blackcat!!

What ever happened to the rabbit? Did they retire him? He was fool proof! Plus, he couldn't read or write or even talk. I think he just got happy when he was shot up with a --- and slept when he got a shot of +. Did he turn into the energizer bunny? He's still going last I saw of him!

posted by Offy on September 30, 2005 at 9:02 PM | link to this | reply

LOL at everyone's comments!
I think they are much more accurate than they used to be!  Twenty-two + nine months years ago a home pregnancy test showed a blue line...not pregnant.  Funny thing is my blue line turns 22 on Tuesday!

posted by ginnieb on September 30, 2005 at 8:55 PM | link to this | reply

LOL... I agree with the comment about those that can't read.... how
will this test help them?  Honestly... I think the stick should either show little crying baby face  or a beer .  That would clear up any confusion.  I do like the bopping on the head idea too.

Spitfire,
Get on the advocacy board, tell them we need blue for boys, pink for girls. The numbers 1 or 2 for singles or twins. Any more than that the test sprays smelling slats (old fashioned) fainting remedy. I loved the part Lordy, haven't heard that in years. Lordy, Lordy child what have you come up with now. LOL BB Cute, cute post.

Spitfire,
LOL...all I know is that if it says positive then most likely one is pregnant. It will only be positive if the test detects any hcg in your system, the pregnancy hormone. There can be false negatives though, when the levels of hcg are too low to detect...

What if the person taking the test can't read???
