Whimsystoryteller,
You and I are on the same page. We should never hide our own beliefs, just not (as you say) shove them down anyone else's throat and not be judgemental of others. Thanks for reading and commenting.

I think it is good that we share our faith
However, you must also understand that for those of us who are Christians and who believe what the Bible says, there is no other way to Heaven except through faith in Jesus and I'm not going to be a hypocrite and tell someone I think differently just to appease them. That doesn't mean I'm going to shove my beliefs down someone's throat because that's not what Christianity is about. It's about a relationship with God through the saving blood of Jesus. I prefer to do my best to live my faith and let my life speak for me as best possible. Of course, I am human and I do mess up and I try to be honest about that as well. But I've been a Christian for over forty years and I can tell you that it works and that I've never met anyone in any other religion who is truly at peace about what will happen when they die. So, I think I'll stick to what I've got.

Avant,
I appreciate what you have said. We do need to be tolerant of others, whether it be religion, culture, nationality, political affiliation, etc. It is not always easy to see the other guy's point of view and some people won't even try but, if we don't try, we are hurting ourselves and everyone around us. We cause hard feelings and just stir up more anger, which gets us nowhere. Thanks for reading and commenting. It is very much appreciated.

lahip,

I don't think Blogit is a perfect religious forum, either, but it's a start.  This is only one way for us to share our faith. During most average days, unless one is home alone all day with no phone calls, we all probably have at least one instance in which we can share our faith even if it is by example alone.

Thanks for reading and commenting.  I truly appreciate it.

Good points Rame.

I don’t think that Blogit is a perfect religious forum.  There are still a few individuals and that try to bolster their own self esteem by putting down the faith of others.  But it has gotten much better in the last year or so.

RAME
your points are very good. i don't think that one person can denounce another's choice of how to be. we are all at different levels and at different points in our spirituality. what is good to see here is that there is tolerance. i like that.

Rame

I find that a far better way is to write your post in Word, or similar, with  the auto save turned one, and placing a double space between paragraphs, then copy and paste it into your post window.

This will also avoid you losing it, if say, there was a sudden power cut or other problem. It's a much better way, believe me

indeed
That is actually going to be the topic for our Sunday school class. It's all college students from priamarily Bible colleges and such, so we have some pretty in depth discussions. Our last one was about wittnessing to Jews who don't believe Christ was the messiah. It was amazing.

Arial70,
I tried several times to edit it and it just wouldn't keep the paragraphs in there. This has happened before and I don't know why. Usually, if I wait awhile or even until the next day, for some reason, I can then get it to hold the paragraphs. Thanks for reading and your comment.

CB Andrews,
Thanks for the comment. It looks like we are both on the same page.

faith...
People should share faith, especially the way things are now. There are ways for, especially Christians, to share faith and share the salvation message without being a "holier than thou" christian. I mean christain was originally a derogatory term...they were first called "the way" or "followers". Be a follower of Christ, not a christian. He ate with sinners and tax collecters and prostitutes. How many of us would do that, and treat them just as we would our own brother or sister?

Rame

I admire your tolerant attitude, in marked contrast to some others.

Please don't be offended, but you post was very difficult to read, so why not try splitting into smaller paragraphs. A lot of folk wouldn't plough thro' it. You can easily edit it.

Good luck with your blog
