A theological question of far more profundity and import than the one about the angels on the point of a pin ( I solved that one the other day, while doing the Times crossword ) is this:-
If a nun is Discalced at the moment, at what point was her calc taken away? And for what, pray? A heinous offence, surely? Clearly, if one is Discalced at present, then one must, at some time, have been calced. These are profound questions, Watson, to which, one fears, the answers will never be found
