I was raised Catholic. We were taught that ours was the one true religion. We were the only ones going to heaven. It seems contrary to Christian values to be fighting over who's Christian religion is correct or has God's stamp of approval. But it happens all the time. People are killed for having different beliefs. And now, our current administration would like to impose their beliefs on the whole country. God help us if they succeed.

i held a grudge against anything Christian for a long time, having been reared in an atmosphere where harsh judgment and an intolerance for questioning were the norm. it is easy to see how harsh others can be, but i don't see the justification for getting into a war of words when no one wins. for me, the effects are much better when calm reasoning and a good nature govern the exchanges. i feel so much better about things in general. by the way, welcome to blog-it.
