Oh Symphony.....
If you have to continue this job, make sure you carry some mace or pepper spray; something to keep you safe.
.
You know how much we love you and those little ones!

I doubt you'll see a major change either way.
Poeple do what they do, somewhere, at all hours. That's a ludicrous reason they're doing this, though.

Symphony......
Maybe the police are doing this to make more money for themselves. If they have these youngsters drinking and fighting all hours of the night, they can fine them and really rake in the dough.
I don't think it's a good thing I hope you're not dependent on that work in the pubs for supporting your little ones, Symphony.

That is the dumbest reason I have ever heard for a law in my life
I expect the truth is the liquor there is taxed as it is here and someone really just wants the additional money!

you would think it would make sense...but most of the drinkers... I call (teeny boppers) which means they have only just turned 18 some are younger and get away with it....they will fight at any time...nothing to do with coming out at closing time.

I can see some sense in not having a standard closing time, with
heavy drinking to beat the closing time, and then bingo, all pushed out into the street at the same time. something to think about.

Dang...
I didn't know how people handled it in Belfast when I was there. Livers of steel is what I assumed. I can't imagine fitting any more drink in than already was available. I've lived where bars were open from 6AM - 4AM; then moved to 2AM. The worst was Dry Sundays, not that that relieved anything. People who drink that heavily will find a way no matter what, unfortunately with longer hours, they are found in public more often. Good Luck.

It doesn't sound like a good idea. I would think that there would be more fights that are spread out over more time. I admit there have been times when I didn't want the bar to close but being sober at the moment.. Its not a good idea.

in Las Vegas you can drink anytime .. there is no shutting down... you can even walk in public, drive in a car, be on the streets with booze. In New York, they close the bars down at 4 am. Here in Los Angeles, the bars close at 2 am. But the reality is last call at 1:30 and everyone out of the bars by 2. i've seen lots of fights , probably due to peoples over intoxication, but never because the bar is closing!! how interesting!

I was afraid that would happen...Frankly, such laws frighten me. I think you're absolutely right, THIS IS NOT GOING to solve anything. What in the hell possessed them to come up with that one???? Is there any way you could contact your local magistrates to discuss opposing the law?
Well love, for your sake and for the sake of England....I hope this law DOES NOT pass!!!!!!
