This is just more pagan idolatry masquerading as truth. Don't you know that Ba-al created Halloween, and requires his followers to sacrifice millions of innocent pumpkins, turning them into grinning, glowering, even smiling representations of the demonic spirits of Satan that will be victorious if we do not remain vigilent. By the way, on another note, animals are sacrificed by the millions every day, so that we can devour their flesh. We don't need Halloween for that. Hemlocker

Kooka, good info...there was a King Of The Hill episode a few years ago
where Bobby goes to some lame church youth group Halloween party and there are skits of people dying from drinking and abortions and winding up in hell...goes to show the razor blades in apples myth didn't work so Halloween haters had to up the ante. Also, good point about the Romans writing Celtic history...that book "Salt" makes mention of the fact as well.

I had read something on that when I was looking up the in for for the original post. I think I had not mentioned it because I was wanting to focus on the holiday aspect of it all.
It is good information though and I do thank you for mentioning it. I'm not sure how many Halloween bashers are still here. I know one of the worst is gone now, so I won't have to deal with her. She was real bad about backing up the lies and even creating some of her own.
$259? Yeah, I can see why that would be cause to have to really find justification to buy him. I'm still not sure my budget for this year. I'll have to wait for my birthday money to start coming in and see just where we are at that point. LAst year I only spent about $20 all together on Halloween. I know I could easily spend a whole lot more if I am given the chance. I've spent five os far this year and am working on a few homemade projects right now. I still need to figure out what to put on the tombstones I have made.

Kooka...thank you for the websites...also wanted to add to the drunk
driving scenario. There is a higher increase in DUI's and in alcohol related accidents during fall and winter large part to people inflicted with seasonal depression, as well as poverty during our more costly holidays. You'll see this globably, but primarily in areas (such as Illinois, for example) where winter weather brings stale surroundings: cold temps, higher heating bills, bald landscapes, etc. Though I am confident that YOU already know this, I just wanted to add to your arguement.
Sincerely,
Freddy Krueger's Biggest Fan...Spencer's wanted $259.00 for the life size, talking version. My husband and I are still trying to justify spending that kind of money.
