Cunningham,
Yep, getting it down is the easy part. Then comes the work.
I'm telling myself I must have my next burst of energy this weekend, otherwise I'll never get any submissions out. I don't know why, but I must have a clean copy to edit with each time around and that's part of what takes so long.

You are so right...
I too have come to realize that writing it down is the easier part (even if we do have to wait for the story to come to us, which can seem to take forever!)...Once it comes, we just have to go with it! We don't have time to make sure it's perfect the first time! But just thinking about 30-50 rounds of editing is exhausting!

MayB,
I do agree that writing is most enjoyable when what's to be said comes out effortlessly. I just need to get writing before I feel desperation creeping in.

Yes, to my mind that much is a bit too much.

word--
I think 30-50 times is a bit much. Even I am not that compulsive, although I believe in editing. Hemlocker

Blackcat,
say thank goodness, you're not neurotic. Truthfully, I don't go through my posts as many times as the articles and stories. I'd be a wreck if I did.

I'm lucky if I reread my blog entries once. LOL
