It is so interesting how different people are about words.  While I don't like certain words, they are simply words to me and I can say or write any of them with no or lots of emotion; it sounds like you won't be able to keep from thinking less of me for my honesty if you feel that strongly about it.  Personally, the only taboo word usage to me is using the Lord's name in vain....I don't do it....and it bothers me a lot that it is done so much in movies, on tv...and around here.  While I can cuss like a sailor, I don't as a rule....I've gotten in some sessions with Passion and Offbeat on here...that's usually when my colorful language will come out, with the girls. Otherwise, I use graphic language in my erotic writing which is where I like it.  The few times in my life when I have been insulted by a man, it has been with a look...not by words.....a look comes more from within to me...now that probably really sounds crazy!! (And, I'm Southern, too!)

I guess I'm like your husband. I don't like using the "c-word" for men and the "p-word" for women, and the "f-word" for sex and the "c-word" for women (oh, I HATE that one), and the "t-word for women". *sigh*

It's funny to even hear me say something like this (which would be a rarity), because it sounds so forced. I can't even imaging typing and displaying them. lol

I guess it's just The South coming out in me.

Hi Krisles
Words are really something, aren't they?  Interesting how one word can evoke such a different responses from one individual to the next.  I guess it depends on what they've experienced about that word in their life to date.  Makes all the difference.  Because of that, I always think what a great thing it is there are so many words.   Actually, I read this the other day, but I wanted to come back and read it again.  You've got an honest way of looking at things.  Another great read

Thank you so much, sweet!  And talk about word usage....your comment was a wonderful example of how you have such a mastery of them.....great analogy; and probably would hold for a lot of marriages.

Thank you!  Havent heard that "batty" for the rear.  It is so odd how different we all are .....but I guess it's like the preference for different music.....well, in some ways.

And this is just
why I read you.......because of your wonderul, sensual, beautiful way with words. And also why I married my third husband...our love of words....but then after all it turned out we had been misuderstanding one another all along........or it could have been the colors in our rainbow box of 32 had dwindled back down to the original 10? Thanks for sharing.

...Not much I can say...

Nicely written and expressed.  I too have a problem with certain words. We have a tendency to say 'titty' and 'batty' (in reference to the butt) which sets my teeth on edge.

Thank you for such a lovely comment.  You paint beautiful rainbows, too.  And Jim and Sperm Donor are both  portraits etched deeply in my soul.....I'm pouring Sperm Donor out now.  As for cussing....oh, dear Medusa...you should hear the colors I can spew forth!  You'd love to hear this mouth in action!

Krisles...I loved this post and the beautiful rainbows you paint.
Very nicely written. You are so great with words. We can always taste your posts, and smell and hear and see. And the sensual posts are really good, because I can almost picture that Jim guy you so fondly described in a few earlier posts.. I like to talk hot and well, er, I like to cuss a bit....forgive me, haha...

I am not at all you are with me on this, oh master of all words....I'm used to be exactly the same way about the "c" word.....but now, given the right circumstances, and the right person using it, I can handle it .....the Vagina Monologues was the turnaround for me on that one.....as well as I recall.  I'll bet your colorin' box is the size of a trunk!

Hi, sweetheart! I've missed you! I'll have to come see you and catch up with you, see how much longer Carl is here, etc....I'll try to get over in the next day or two...if you get a chance, read my post about going back to work and you'll see what's going on with me...then, we'll "talk".

And we'll keep swimming in these colorful stories...

One man's potty-mouth is another's poetry
I'm with you.  'Breasts' are definitely more poetic than 'tits'.  Can't stand the word 'cunt,' don't even like 'can't' said in an English accent.  And Fuck is definitely my favorite word and color.
