I'm happy to report that it isn't only you, by the way. A couple of weeks ago, a woman I know was wearing dark glasses because she'd jabbed herself in the eye while brushing her hair that morning. It's dangerous out there, I tellya !! Hope your eye's better soon

You're not alone...
I think it just comes with having a boy in the house. Mine makes the million in one shots, with a small pebble bouncing off a fence, tree, pole, then SMASH, through a neighbors living room window. He does that when he's not busy getting himself hurt, or someone else in the process of trying to save him. You're not alone, but ouch, hope it heals quick. That one can be so painful.

It was referring to the white portion of eyeball, not the colored cornea lens area.

If the scratch is on the eyeball white, it needs to heal and you'll be ok. If it were bad, stitching would be recommended but your doc has confidence that it will be ok, so don't worry. Painkillers might help instead of alcohol. Sleep or close your eyes very often to give them rest. Take care.

and oh yeah that drink sounds lovely......only I have already started on the vodka and just boring coke...I will save you some...LOL....my eye is really hurting that I cant concentrate to read anybody (either that or its the vodka) but tomorrow I am up early so if it is any better I will catch up with those I am missing out on.
