LovelyLadyMonk, my son who died at age 22 was never a letter writer--never felt he needed to since he lived here in KC. So, I have very little that his hand penned. The one I cherish most is a card he made for me in school when he was young enough to not worry too much about proper placement. With a flower on the front, inside he wrote what was supposed to be "I Love You Mother" in nice big letters. He ran out of room before finishing, so it reads, "I Love You Moth." If you turn it over to the back, there is an "er". It always makes me smile and tear up at the same time.

I hope so for you too! It's tough being away from our kids, I think that is why I stay around this one horse town!!
