Thank you. That is what I try for, even though some do not believe it.

I am looking at what the Republicans in power are doing here and now and what hey policies have done for us here and now. All the Southern Democrats have turned Republican over the years and from what I have seen the basic ideas of both democrats and republicans are not that different. From studying history you can also see it was not really the democrats themselves who were opposed to civil rights, most of the country was backing that movement up. It was the southern states that still had issue with them ,so the whole concept had nothing at all to do with political affiliation and everything to do with the local attitudes of the people.
As for the whole Kelo case thing, I do not defend what was decided there. But that still does not change the facts I presented in my post. Just because a few supposed Liberals made a mistake in a judgment does not suddenly mean that conservatives are doing anything at all to help family or freedom.
Basically the present attitude the conservatives are showing is very much anti-family and beyond belief anti-freedom.

You don't know your history
It was the Republicans who spearheaded civil rights legislation in the 1960s, over the opposition of Southern Democrats. Today, it is Republicans who are on the side of the average citizen when the opposition is selling out to the far left extremists. Take note of what judges voted in defense of homeowners in the
Kelo case and which ones sided with the big-bucks investors.

Great post....sadly it is also so very true...
You are so right, I mean Correst...sorry, I didn't mean to offend you there. It is so sad, I get sickened seeing the Photo Ops at the expense of people. The only people I've seen benefit from many of the policies are the Pat Robertsons, oil industry, and his buddies at Halliburton. Come on he says he can't do anything about the curreng gas gouging...isn't he an "oil man", oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean that to imply he was a successful oil man, but much like a cowboy, he can pretend.
Thanks for the post.
