Ha! I didn't realize what was going on
until the end. I never watched soaps, but my husband liked one when we first me. He and his sister Susan would call eachother up and talk about it for hours, but I can't remember the name of the show. Sounds like you have CUTE dogs!! My husband likes these things called Shih-tzus, which are cute too. He says when he blow drys their hair they puff up like little fluff balls. Take care

Thanks for posting the comment on my site, Joe.
Unfortunately I do much more flashing than I really should -- a lot more than intended. The local duplicate bridge guys NEVER drop in any more to ask if I want to play in the weekly games after one of them dropped in and found me hottubbing on the back deck at dinnertime.
I moved from the city to the rural area, kind of like you, but it's not totally rural here -- although my best buddy came to visit and returned after a tour of the village and said, Sweet Jesus! I saw this darling young man in the most fetching shorts and tank top, beautiful tans, and big woollen socks up to his knees with lumberman's rubbers on. I couldn't tell if he was cruising main street or gettin' ready to slop the hogs. (Actually I know who he was talking about, and he was multitasking that day.)
The local dry goods store sells knee high rubber boots that every one here wears from Easter until Thanksgiving.

I'm retired, so I'll try to remember and watch it...sounds so bad it's got to be good. Right now, I'm mesmerized by the secret ingredient, sea cucumbers - one of the chefs is making a dessert with it!! This is the original Chinese show - I just love the American voices they give the judges - it's sooooo cheesey.

I do know who she is, though, so I could picture your description...and you as a soap freak were as dang funny as she was....seems like all your prior commenting folks are fans themselves so you struck them as perfectlly normal!!
