I can't wait for fall
Official Chili Season begins then in my corner of the world. Lots of homegrown tomatos make it so fresh tasting and extra yummy! My grandmother called it "blanching" the tomatos, if memory serves. I put mine in a pot with water and heat on the stove until the skins start looking a bit shriveled. Microwaving sounds much more effective and quicker, as does Tapsel's suggestion. Thanks for the help Original!

I love chilli. I became a vegetarian not too long ago, but I think I'd eat really good chilli if i had access to it. I love chilli cheese fries. i guess, I'm not a very good vegetarian. I still love meat. I don't really miss chicken, but I miss a lot of stuff that had chicken in it. I love eating fish all the time though.

Original, my Mom used to spear a tomato with a large cooking fork and hold it over the fire of her gas stove turning it until the skin began cracking. Then it would come right off and she would spear another. Worked for her.

I love Chili! My kids
don't like it, so I don't make it.
