One hell of a story, man, I must admit. I'm not into religion one bit, but I went to a Catholic college, Xavier University in New Orleans. I had priests as instructors and a group of nuns, the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrement, lived on campus in one of the dorms. The recent abuse scandals aside, Catholic clergy are the only ones I have any true respect for. Taking vows of celibacy and poverty in this day and age of sex and money means I'm willing to listen, even if I don't actually agree with the doctrine. The holier-than-thou, I'm going to heaven and you're not attitude of some evangelicals would be comical if they weren't so serious. Send you a hundred bucks and you'll pray for me? Thanks, but no thanks. I'll go it alone.
