Thanks for the encouragement. I am not a risk taker but this really seems like something I need to do. No matter what it will be a leaning experience.

I will be the closest gaming store for two high schools and two Jr. Highs, although I am not close to any one of them. I am in the basic shopping area for all of them though, so that should bring them in. I do already plan to get flyers out as well and really push the word of mouth. it helps that I know a good deal of the local gamers already. I really think it should not take much to get a good batch of regular customers. I've lived in this area most of my life and so I know it real well.
Still a lot of work ahead me. Got a few phone calls to make today to really get things started.

That's gonna be some commute for you. I really am not going to be able to afford to pay you enough to make that a logical commute.
Or do you only work the two times a year you are out here? Not sure why you would wish to come out here for vacation and work in my store the whole time.

Kooka...Please keep us posted on this. Who knows, your updates could be a seminar on starting a business with all the details, derails and, hopefully, delights!

Kooka, this sounds so kewl!!
I think you should definitely do it and yeah, have your wife apply for the loan. It is easier that way. I'd check out the location and look for high schools and Jr. High's. Easy access areas where kids can find the store, ya know? Then, when you open, circulate flyers and coupons in the schools. Just shooting out a few ideas. Good luck!!
