What I have found, like many, is that it's not making the choice to be free, creative etc. which is difficult, it is maintaining that choice. We are so used to being reactionary creatures and when we react it just produces another reaction and it keeps going. This is karma you may say. An image which has helped me is to try and act in a way which doesn't leave a 'stain' in my mind. I believe there's a certain way to be which can produce an influence and make an impression but it's more like water which can wash away easily when the time comes. This would lead to a consciousness which 'preserved' and cherished life rather than consumed it.

Awesome comments
Incredibly well written. What you've written today (09/04) will stick with me for a long time. Powerful words...I just have to keep remembering to put them into practice on a daily basis.

what you are saying is absolutely true. everything that ever will exists, exists now.
I love your level of passion when you make statements.
what i am referring to when i say 'create' is at the level of thought. when we reach out to another who appears to hold what we want, are we not attempting to 'create' something that already exists, at the level of thought? How can we be 'unhappy', unless we have compared ourselves to something else, and decided that we are less?
Your argument is completely valid. We cannot create love, because we are already love. We cannot create happiness, because it is intrinsic. We cannot create peace, because it is a natural state of being.
The problems humanity faces are of his own creation, by believing that they don't exist. How would we treat one another, were it known deeply that we need nothing to be completely free, completely happy?

But only a fact in physics, DM. There are other fields of creation...
"We as humans underestimate our potential to create, by accepting appearances and believing in what others tell us is true."
We have so much to un-learn, molds and templates to tear down, to destroy, in order to build truer ones! As individuals, and as community, as society, as race... It is not easy but necessary to question beliefs we have cherished as truth, to reconsider, to recommit or reinvent! To apply upgrades...

You Insist That Humanity Has The Power To Create...
when, in fact, humanity has no power to create. All we ever do reshape what the universe provides. We take raw material and form them into useful items.
I challenge you to create one thing. I challenge anyone to create one thing. C'mon, twist up a molecule of carbon. Spin together an atom of hydrogen. Pull a proton out of nowhere! Show me your fresh-baked neutrons!
Humanity cannot create. Humanity can only reshape what already exists. That is fact.
